So we all know that different color hair is on trend right now but I'm sure that most non-creative jobs don't allow anything other than the "normal" hair color. You know Black, Brown, Blonde and Red. Since I've always wanted to try out different hair colors I was looking for an non-permanent option so I could have fun with color and not upset my boss at the same time and I found an amazing product. It's Garnier from their Color Styler collection the colors that it comes in so far are purple, blue, pink, red and bronze. It cost $8.99 and you can find it at any drugstore. I bought the purple color at Walgreens and honestly it was the easiest time I’ve had dyeing my hair super simple and easy. Although it got a little messy in the end. I’ve include pictures at the end of the post.
I didn’t want to do all of my hair so I just decided to do a few highlights towards the front. I separated my hair into 2 sections made sure that I fully combed it through and from there it was piece of cake. Just follow the instructions that the hair dye brings. You don’t need to wash or even wet your hair at all. Although the hard part was combing the hair once the dye was fully dry. It felt stiff and it was a little difficult to comb and once you did manage to get a comb fully though it, all these little flakes of dried dye were all over my bathroom sink. Kind off annoying actually since they went all over the place but they were pretty easy to clean with a Clorox wipe. The end result looked amazing but I felt like I had a mixture of hair spray and dry shampoo in my hair but I believe that my hair felt that way since I don’t really use any type of hair product and because of my hair texture. The color lasted 3 washes and it was a great way to explore my “wild” side for a weekend without having to do a full hair color commitment. I've included before and after photos
